The Pastors Pen……..
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
I am fully convinced that we Fundamental Baptist do not laugh enough. I was in a meeting and they honored all the men who had been preaching for over 30 years. That was the most sad looking bunch of people I had seen in a long time. If looking mad and grumpy means we have succeeded, I’m wondering at what we have prevailed. I don’t want the pressures of the ministry or life to rob me of the smile on my face or the happiness in my heart. We have truly been blessed. Don’t forget it…… I’m adding a little something for you to laugh at. The person it was written about is me. So feel free to laugh a little…..or a lot.
I’m Wearing Out
My feet hurt and my ankles are sore, my knees won’t bend but hold on there’s more.
My thighs are bigger than I’ve ever seen, stretch marks on my legs look like rivers and streams.
My waist is bigger than the year before, I can’t see my feet down on the floor.
Then there’s my stomach oh what a sight, it pulls my back out as I sleep in the night.
My hands are hurting and my shoulders in pain, I always expect it when the forecast gives rain.
My neck is stiff and my head is sore, my eyes are worse I can’t see any more.
Then there are my ears my last final fear, I’m now reading lips because I can’t hear.
Time is taking a real toll you see, the man in the mirror is almost a stranger to me.
But there’s coming a day on Heavens bright shore, no tired worn out bodies up there anymore.

The Pastors Pen……..
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
There is not a week that goes by that I do not get an email, phone calls, or a text where somebody needs special prayer or help in some way. One of the greatest lies of the devil is that or very existence is of no worth. “You are good for nothing.” He says. Remember he is a liar and the father of it.(John 8:44) God in his sovereign plan has chosen to use us in his work. It was his choice, so keep this thought in mind, SOMEBODY NEEDS YOU TODAY!!! Read these song lyrics.
Somebody Needs You Today
Verse 1
Have you failed in the battle and you’ve lost another round. Do you feel your life is hopeless and no purpose can be found. Take the time to stop and listen very close to what I say, somebody needs you today.
Chorus
Keep your hands to the plow, there’s no turning back now. Keep your eyes on the sky he could come just any time. Just a few more days to labor until the church is called away. somebody needs you today.
Verse 2
The harder the battle makes the victory oh so sweet. Every time you’re in the valley a mountain’s just ahead you see. Keep your eyes on the savior and listen friend to what I say, somebody needs you today.

The Pastors Pen……..
The Writer Isaiah said , “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 I am very interested in the words mount up. Isaiah used these words to reveal a mind picture of the cooperation of the eagle’s wings and the wind. The truth is the harder and stronger the winds are the faster and stronger the force to lift up the eagle. GOD has said if we will trust Him he will be to us a lifter above the turmoil and troubles of this world. He will lift us above it all. Amen
Above It All
There is a place where I can go above life’s toils and cares;
I can rise above it all down on my knees in prayer.
When thunder rolls and billows crash against my ship at sea;
I can rise above it all when Christ declares his peace.
To the heights the eagle soars with outstretched wings he climbs.
He can rise above it all and rest from all the strife.
A quiet place of peace and rest is where I long to be.
I can go above it all by bowing on my knees.
Then looking back it all seems small, what once was great to me;
Finding true above it all is where Christ wanted me.
Have blessed day………

Bro. Duane Moore will be with us all day on Sunday, July 18th to encourage us to support faith promise.
What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is a promise to give based upon one’s faith in God. In making a Faith Promise, a believer looks to God “in faith” asking Him how much he should promise to give, and then committing to give as God provides. Unlike a pledge, the commitment is “vertical” instead of “horizontal”–it is a commitment to God as an act of faith rather than to a church, society or charity.
When making a Faith Promise, a believer looks to God for provision. This kind of expectant faith offers God an opportunity to pour financial blessings into His work through His people. In essence, the believer asks, “How much can I trust God to give through me?”

Footprints
“Walk a little slower, Daddy,”
said a child so small.
“I’m following in your footsteps
and I don’t want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they’re hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I’m all grown up,
You’re what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who’ll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you.”
