Hebrews 13:8

What a privilege to serve the one and only God that never changes. Time (Hebrews 13:8)has not changed him. The same God that stepped out on nothing and created everything is still the same today. The world has tried to weaken him and fault him but he has not changed. Trouble has not changed him. (2 Timothy 3:1) We do live in perilous times, but our God is not worried. He is not wringing his hands in despair. Talk has not changed him.(Malachi 2:17) Just because God is silent sometimes, does not mean he is not near. This world system, religion and self –proclaimed leaders have tried with all their power and authority to mare the name of Jehovah. I have the privilege to report… they have failed. Our GOD has not changed.

Catching Tears

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? Psalms 56:8

Put thou my tears into thy bottle – Here is an allusion to a very ancient custom, which we know long obtained among the Greeks and Romans, of putting the tears which were shed for the death of any person into small phials, called lacrymatories or urns lacrymales and offering them on the tomb of the deceased.

David’s tears were not due to the death of a loved one, but tied directly to the deep driven pain of the journey of his life. (my wanderings) Lets just be honest life hurts sometimes. There are even times when it seems to be a pain that has surpassed anything we have ever known. A pain that makes every breath seem as our last. This kind of pain is a very real part of life that none of us can avoid. Job said this, My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God. Job 16:20 He was feeling the pain that comes from the hurt of someone close. But look at his tears, they were not just tears of adversity but they were tears of assurance. He knew the pain of his friends but he also knew the power of his God. He trusted that God had noticed his tears.

God has noticed our tears; they have been bottled and recorded by God in his book. No matter if it be people, problems or the plot of Satan that causes pain that brings tears, rest in the fact that our Heavenly Father is catching tears. Its His bottle and His book. I believe he keeps up with His stuff.

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Psalms 18:6

The Pastor

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Jeremiah 3:15

A Pastor’s Heart

In the Courts of Heaven a work does begin,

the making of a special heart to give to a man.

This heart has been made and fashioned by the hands,

of the Master of Men and the Maker of Man.

It is formed in the workshop of God’s sovereign will.

Its purpose is special, God’s plan to fulfill.

This heart will be given to one special man,

who will shepherd God’s sheep in a dry and barren land.

You see he must have this heart when the work is begun,

for if it’s not there no sheep will be won.

This heart lets him hear the bleating of sheep,

and gives him the wisdom to find one that’s weak.

This heart hears the cry of one wandering lamb,

and fights off the wolf to foil his sly plan.

This heart helps him break that lambs little leg,

then carries him home to be watered and fed.

This heart sometimes leads him to shear all the sheep,

but much more it leads him to pastures of green.

This heart does not sleep or seek to recline,

it is ever so watchful of the sheep all the time.

This heart does not wander to folly or frill,

but walks faithful pathways through valleys or uphill.

This heart does not seek for fortune and fame

but finds satisfaction in labor and pain.

So who has received this heart, and now what’s his part?

It’s the preacher who’s been given…a true Pastor’s Heart.

If you have a God sent pastor make sure you let him know how much you thank God for him.

Noah Webster said this about hardness; Hardship; severe labor, trials or sufferings. Does that not sound like the times we are living in? I have never seen such contradiction coming against the people of God like we are seeing today.

I love the people of God and it deeply burdens me over the great opposition that I see coming against them. We need to be “Gap Fillers” for the saints, the sinners, and the suffering. (Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.)

Life is going to be filled with hardness. I am glad our Heavenly father has given us what we need to stand in this dark day.(Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.) We have;
