Bro. Duane Moore will be with us all day on Sunday, July 18th to encourage us to support faith promise.
What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is a promise to give based upon one’s faith in God. In making a Faith Promise, a believer looks to God “in faith” asking Him how much he should promise to give, and then committing to give as God provides. Unlike a pledge, the commitment is “vertical” instead of “horizontal”–it is a commitment to God as an act of faith rather than to a church, society or charity.
When making a Faith Promise, a believer looks to God for provision. This kind of expectant faith offers God an opportunity to pour financial blessings into His work through His people. In essence, the believer asks, “How much can I trust God to give through me?”
The precious jewels are conducting a service project and would like to ask for your help! They will be gathering school supplies for children who otherwise may not have them. A box will be placed in the foyer for the items. Items will be collected from July 4th – August 8th.
Precious Jewels will be meeting after church on June 27. Come prepared for a great time!
Footprints
“Walk a little slower, Daddy,”
said a child so small.
“I’m following in your footsteps
and I don’t want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they’re hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I’m all grown up,
You’re what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who’ll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you.”
